suitcase model of temporary exhibit
inspired by the guatemalan backstrap loom, the structure is formed through tensile relationships of multiple grids acting on and with eachother.
disruption of the grids by viewers allows new spaces, seating, viewing, and lighting apertures, as well as linkages between different thematic elements in the exhibit. on the floor of the space is a map of the current exhibit location, emphasizing the connection of the viewer to their surroundings. the form is dictated by the changing map, and the sum of the viewers' decisions on how to connect those elements. as with the loom, the human body, and movent are completely central to the structure.
the result is an adaptive, collective temporary space which responds to each viewer.
